Liver Cake
- 375g liver
- 1 cup rice flour
- 2 eggs
- 2-4 cloves of garlic
Put the liver, eggs and garlic in the food processor for a minute. Add the rice flour and mix well. Spread out on a large lined baking sheet and cook at 180 C for 20-30 minutes.
Tuna Cake
- 2 cans of Tuna in sunflower oil
- 1 cup rice flour
- 2 eggs
- 2-4 cloves of garlic
Put the Tuna, eggs and garlic in a food processor and mix for a minute. Stir in enough flour until it turns cake like in consistency. Cook in the microwave on high for a couple minutes until springy to the touch.
- I've adapted the above recipie to make Tuna Cake Biscuits which my dogs go wild for. As the name suggests they are more like biscuits and less crumbly than Tuna Cake. Follow the recipie as above but cook until solid but still moist. Then cut into the required size pieces and cook in the oven at 180 C for 10-20 minutes until hard (turnning occasionally).
Liver, Fish & Veg Cake
- 1 pack of liver
- 1 tin of fish such as salmon, tuna, pilchards etc
- selection of veg such as carrots, cauli, broccoli, celery, peppers etc
- 1 cup rice flour
- 2 eggs
- 2-4 cloves of garlic
Put the garlic, veg and eggs into the food processor and mix until finely chopped up. Transfer the veg mix into a bowl and set to one side. Put the liver and fish into the food processor and mix for a minute. Mix the liver and fish mix with the veg. Add enough flour until it is cake like in consistency. Spread out on a large lined baking sheet and cook at 180 C for 20-30 minutes.
Cheese & Garlic Cookies
- 1½ cups rice flour
- 1¼ cups grated cheddar cheese
- ¼lb margarine
- 1 garlic clove
- goats milk
- pinch of salt
Cream together the margarine, cheese, garlic, salt, and flour. Add enough milk to form a ball and chill for ½ hour. Roll out, cut into shapes and bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until slightly brown, and firm.
Dried Liver:
- Liver
- Garlic Powder
Wash the liver in water. Place in a pan with some garlic, bring to the boil and simmer for a couple minutes. Drain the liver and cut into small pieces and place on a baking tray. Cook at a low temperature for a couple hours until completely dry.
Salmon Treats
- 1 8 oz. can salmon with juice
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 3 eggs, shells included
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds ground up in coffee grinder
- 1/2 cup flax seeds ground up in coffee grinder
- 2-3 cups rice flour
Mix salmon, parsley, eggs, sesame seeds and flax seeds together in a food processor, adding flour until it forms a doughy ball. Knead more flour into the mixture and then roll out and cut. Bake in the oven at 375 for 20 mins turning once half way.
Liver & Chicken Cake
- 3 cups of liver
- 1 cup of chicken hearts
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of Garlic Powder
- 1/2 cup flax seeds ground up in coffee grinder
- 1 tablespoon of Lecithin
- 1 tablespoon of Glucosamine
Put all the ingredients (except flax seeds) in food processor (or blender) and mix for about 2 minutes, slowly adding the flaxseed. Spread evenly on a tray about 1/4 inch thick. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until moist but springy to the touch in a 350 degree oven. Cool and cut into squares.
Naturediet Nuggets
- 1 pack of NatureDiet
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 egg
- 100ml water
- 160g rice flour
Put all the ingredients (except flour) in food processor and mix. Slowly add the flour until the mixture thickens to a cake like consistency. Spread onto a baking tray and cook at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Cut up and serve moist, or pop back into the oven to turn crunchy.
